Welcome to The University of Alabama community!
The Action Card, or “ACT Card”, is your official faculty/staff ID for the University and your key to campus!
Setup your card today!
To set up your ACT Card, you'll first need to submit a headshot-style photo of yourself + photo of ID for your card. Once approved, you'll receive an email to your UA email account.
After your photo is approved you can download your card to your mobile device!
If your photo was denied, note the reason in your email and resubmit your photo and ID document.
What will I use my ACT Card for as a Faculty/Staff member?
- Building access
Any building/office access assigned to your account from a supervisor will be loaded to the ACT Card.
- Bama Cash
Loading funds to your ACT Card will be in Bama Cash. This account is similar to a debit account, but you cannot get cash out. These funds can be used at all on- and off-campus locations, including on-campus vending, SupeStore and printing services.
You can also use our Payroll Deduction tool to set a specific amount of your paycheck to automatically load into Bama Cash.
- Meal Plans
If you purchase a Faculty/Staff meal plan from Bama Dining it will be loaded to your ACT Card.
- University Recreation Centers
Recreation Center memberships will be loaded to your ACT Card after purchase.
Using the mobile ACT Card
InfoThe University of Alabama is a mobile-first campus
This means to ensure you have the best experience, your official ID for the University is the mobile ACT Card! Faculty/staff are eligible for physical cards at this time. To have a card issued, visit our office in the Transportation Hub Deck (aka Bus Hub) during business hours.
