Know your myBama login info and is DUO setup?
Step 1 – Activate DUO on Your Account
Visit the DUO Management Portal and click “Activate DUO.”
Step 2 – Enroll Your Device
Now that your account is activated, you’ll need to enroll your device(s). The DUO activation portal will prompt you to do this automatically. Students can choose their mobile phone or tablet. DUO does not need to be activated with a home phone number or a parent’s smartphone. DUO should be activated to the student’s phone that will be with them on campus.
If you choose mobile device, which is recommended, you will be prompted to enter your phone number, and choose the type of device (iPhone, Android, etc.)
Step 3 – Install & Activate Duo Mobile
DUO will walk you through how to download the mobile app for your device, but you can also access them directly at the links below.
Once you install the app, you will need to connect your device to your DUO account. You can do this by scanning a QR code with the app’s built in scanner, or DUO can send you an email. Follow the prompted instructions through the app.
Be sure to activate DUO mobile on the student’s smartphone. DUO does not need to be activated with a home phone number or a parent’s smartphone. DUO should be activated to the student’s phone that will be with them on campus.

Legal name in Banner automatically selected unless you check the chosen or preferred name option on that page.

Photo must meet all Action Card criteria

STEP 4Identity documents?
Upload a copy of one of the following:
- Current US Driver’s License
- Current passport
- Current US government ID
*File type must be pdf, jpeg, png
*Size between 30KB to 3MB
STEP 5Credential Type?
Make sure your mobile ACT Card has been downloaded to your mobile device prior to arriving on campus. This is required for door access, including residence halls; meal plans, Dining Dollars and Bama Cash. Your photo and ID document must be submitted and approved before you can download the mobile ACT Card.
